Who We Are
Our Roots
We are a small group of dedicated volunteers who have catered to the Huntly and surrounding districts for over 2 decades. We offer a range of social services, Advisory and Referral services, JP services, Legal Advisory, Counselling, Life-coaching, Social Justice Advocacy, Budget Advisory, Mara Kai/Community Gardens, Awhi Mai Program, Navigating Justice Program, Whanau Recovery Groups in Addiction, Career Planning, Food Security, Sovereign Kai Space, North Waikato Food Distribution Hub and Foodbank, Holistic Healing Services

This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
Covid-19 Foodbank Response
Helping The Community
With this initiative, our goal is to support the people within the North Waikato Area collaborating with partnering Foodbanks to end hunger for those in need we have provided over 15000 parcels within the North Waikato area with our Covid Response team of volunteers. Our community can be empowered by knowing they are not alone and we will support them to access the right resources for their needs. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.
Food Security
Reinforcing our Commitment
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with the challenges facing our community in regards to the increase of cost of living . Food Donation Drop-Offs is something that we are always accepting, receiving donations from the public, our partners, sponsors and funders. We have a fortnightly Free store rescuing food from the landfill and giving what we receive to the community. Our food bank is accessed thru the "Here to Help You".
Community Gardens
From Seed to Table
Our Mara kai/Community Gardens are part of our Foodbank and Sovereign Kai Space. The land being sponsored by Kainga Ora the gardens are situated on the corner of Cobham Crescent and Rotowaro Road, Huntly, close to Lake Puketirini. Our gardens are open to the community to plant and harvest kai. We have volunteering programs where the
opportunity to learn new skills or pass on skills with each other. Ask our team how you can become involved
Navigating Justice
Helping The Community
With this initiative, our goal is to empower those who have lost someone to the justice system and need support with reconnecting with there loved one. This initiative also supports those in need, navigate their way through the justice system to find resolutions with new improved lifestyle choices, Ask our team how you can be involved

This initiative is to provide support to those affected, and living in addiction. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential and move forward. New experience's and peer support is what drives this initiative.
